FORT WORTH, TX (February 26th, 2024) –Palm Primary Care Texas (“Palm”), part of the MBF Healthcare Partners II, L.P. (“MBF”) portfolio and Florida-based Palm Medical Centers, has acquired the assets of two primary care practices located in Dallas and Duncanville, from Texas Health Physicians Group. While the transaction has closed, the full transition of staff and clinics to the Palm name will occur over the next several months. With this acquisition, Palm has now opened or acquired six primary care clinics in Tarrant and Dallas counties since June 2023. The strategic expansion is a key part of having a meaningful impact on the health of Medicare beneficiaries throughout North Texas by 2025.
The first clinic, located at 3920 W Wheatland Rd Ste 152 in south Dallas, is led by Bane Smith, MD and Eliazar Garcia Alvarez, MD, both of whom have served at the clinic for over 20 years. Dr. Smith also serves as the medical director of the second clinic, located at 545 W Wheatland Rd. in Duncanville, where Charles McWilliams, APRN, FNP is the lead provider. Both office locations specialize in a full range of services to Medicare beneficiaries and their families in Dallas County, with an emphasis on convenience and compassionate care.
